Un fait rocambolesque secoue le milieu du football au Gabon. La fédération Gabonaise de Football se retrouve au cœur d'un scandale. En effet, le Footballeur Guelor Kanga, avait affirmé être né en septembre 1990, alors que sa maman etait décédée en 1986, soit 4 ans avant sa naissance. Des incohérences signalées par la Confédération Africaine de Football ( CAF) en 2021.
C'est ainsi qu'une enquête officielle a été ouverte et a conduit à la convocation de Guelor Kango devant la commission de discipline de la Caf.
Des soupçons de fraude pèsent ainsi sur la Fédération Gabonaise de Football. Cette dernière pourrait être exposée à une suspension de toute participation à des compétitions internationales, car violant les règles de la FIFA.
