Moussa Soumboundou est porté en terre ce lundi matin au cimetière musulman situé non loin des HLM sur la route de Tamba, dans la commune de Vélingara. L’activiste mort dans l’accident survenu dans la région de Kaffrine, a réuni tout un monde autour de son inhumation.
Une foule immense et indescriptible a accompagné le « Kankan Moussa » depuis la maison mortuaire jusqu’à sa dernière demeure. A la prière mortuaire, chacun bousculait l’autre pour se faire place. Adultes, personnes âgées et surtout des jeunes, tout Vélingara est sorti pour rendre un dernier hommage à son activiste, son porte-parole engagé dans tous les combats pour la cause humaine. Et cela au moment où les filles et femmes restées à la maison mortuaire étaient en larmes. Leurs cris de détresse perceptible de loin. Dans les rangs du cortège funèbre, nombreux sont ceux qui n’ont pas pu s’empêcher de verser des larmes avec parfois des déclarations en sourdine. » C’est pas vrai, c’est impossible, Kankan Moussa est parti comme ça, incroyable, …. » entendait-on dans la foule.
Pourtant, à la prière mortuaire, l’imam a invité les uns et les autres à accepter la volonté divine et à s’en remettre à Dieu. Face à cette situation, impossible de recueillir des déclarations.
Moussa Soumboundou est inhumé en même temps que deux autres victimes dont un père et son garçon. La ville de Vélingara a vibré au rythme du deuil national décrété à partir d’aujourd’hui.
