Le Sénégal se rappelle. Le Lundi 25 mars 1957, disparaissait un homme de Dieu d’une dimension exceptionnelle, 1er Khalife général des Tidjanes, Cheikhal Seydi Khalifa Ababacar Sy (RTA).
Ce samedi 25 mars 2023 marque donc le 66e anniversaire de la disparition du digne fils de Maodo Malick Sy et Sokhna Rokhaya Ndiaye. Il a été porté à la tête de la confrérie Tidjane à l’âge de 37 ans, suite au rappel à Dieu, en 1922, de son vénéré père et a su porter très haut le flambeau de l’Islam avec brio et attachement à la voie tracée par le très vénéré Cheikhna Cheikh Ahmet Tidjane Chérif (RTA).
Outre l’implantation de Mosquées et Zawiyas, la mise sur pied de Dahiras, Khalifatou Cheikh Wal Moukhtar, de son vivant, s’est illustré par son érudition, sa grande sagesse, son orthodoxie, son respect strict des recommandations divines.
L’homme de Dieu, qui a consacré toute sa vie au Saint Coran et à la Sunnah du Prophète Mohammed (SAW), insistait toujours sur cinq centres d’intérêt : «La religion, La tariqa, Les dahiras, Le métier et Tivaouane-La-Pieuse».
