Brama Gaye, âgé de 57 ans et ouvrier dans une entreprise d’extraction de sable a trouvé la mort dans une carrière de sable située à quelques a quelques mètres du village de Dagathie dans la commune de Nguidilé situé dans le département de Louga. À en croire « Rewmi Quotidien », le drame s’est produit lundi dernier vers 16 H dans son lieu de travail.
Une avalanche de sable s’est affaissée sur Brama Gaye qui se trouvait au fond de la carrière en train d’extraire du sable avec une pelle. Alertés, les sapeurs-pompiers se sont rendus sur place et ont extrait le corps sans vie avant de le déposer à la morgue du centre hospitalier régional Amadou Sakhir Mbaye de Louga.
Le défunt a laissé derrière lui deux épouses et onze enfants.
