Au moins 39 migrants sont morts dans un incendie qui a frappé un centre de détention de la ville mexicaine de Ciudad Juarez, dans le nord du pays, à la frontière avec les États-Unis. C’est ce qu’a annoncé ce mardi 28 mars le gouvernement mexicain.
L’incendie s’est déclaré dans la nuit du lundi 27 au mardi 28 mars et 39 personnes qui essayaient d’entrer aux États-Unis sont mortes à la frontière avec le Texas, dans un centre de détention pour migrants, suite à cet incendie.
Les victimes sont du Guatemala, du Honduras, du Venezuela et du Salvador. Selon la RFI 68 adultes étaient à l’intérieur du centre. Parmi eux, 29, dans un état sérieux voire grave, ont été conduits vers différents hôpitaux.
L’origine du feu est toujours indéterminée.
