Dans un communiqué publié mardi 21 mars, le Conseil pour l’Observation des Règles d’Éthique et de Déontologie (CORED) a rappelé à l’ordre le site senenews.com au sujet d’une photo prise dans la salle d’audience lors du procès Ousmane Sonko/Mame Mbaye Niang. L’organe de régulation des journalistes a souligné l’interdiction qui est faite à ces derniers de « filmer ou de prendre en photo l’intérieur des salles d’audiences ». Le site ayant rapidement retiré la photo incriminée suite à l’avertissement du CORED, il ne s’expose à aucune sanction supplémentaire. Afin d’éviter qu’une situation similaire ne se reproduise, le CORED prévoit d’organiser dans un futur proche « une formation sur le bon usage de la photo et de la vidéo à l’intention des techniciens et photo reporters. »
